CFF Day Out in Moffat
Members of the Glasgow Group of the Christian Friendship Fellowship will have a “Day Out” in Moffat on Saturday 8th July 2017. They will arrive between a quarter to one and one o’clock and then can go to a coffee shop etc for lunch – the Moffat Mill shop is well worth a look round, and their café serves good snacks at reasonable prices, but there are plenty of other cafés in the High St. After that people are free to wander round Moffat individually or in groups, looking at the sheep in the middle of the road, sampling the charity shops or exploring side streets with antique shops etc.
As the bus back to Glasgow leaves at 6.25pm (the only bus after that doesn’t leave till 9.25pm!) we will have to be at the Stag Hotel, 21 / 22 High St for high tea no later than 4.45pm. So we will meet in the foyer at 4.40pm. The choices for main course are Steak and Ale Pie, Ham and Pineapple Salad, Breaded Haddock or Roast Chicken Breast, all accompanied by bread and butter. There will be a selection of cakes and scones with tea / coffee to finish. The choices will have been given to the hotel beforehand, but the meals will be cooked when we arrive.
Single Christians who are not CFF members are welcome to join us at a cost of £15 (non-refundable) to be received by Friday 30th June at the latest. If you would like to meet up with us for an enjoyable “Day Out” in Moffat, please ring Fiona for fuller details on how to book. The CFF phone number is 0141 334 0009, from 9.30 – 2pm and 6 – 10pm only. There is an answering machine available during those hours if there is no reply, and all calls leaving a number will be returned as soon as possible. But please do not ring – even to leave a message – between 2 and 6pm. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, or write to CFF Enquiries, PO Box 16881, Glasgow, G11 9EF.
