Christmas Play & Evening Drinks
Christmas Play & Evening Drinks

Set in a beautiful city church in London’s Sloane Square, we sat down to a one man show, the Visit, reminding us about the meaning of Christmas.

The play was set in a Church of St Thomas the Doubter and was about a hard pressed vicar, who, facing all the Christmas Festivities is suddenly told by the Bishop that he must expect another visitor.. Jesus. A very disruptive experience for any church to deal with!

The Play, based on a story by Adrian Plass, had been performed to great acclaim all over the world and we too enjoyed the humorous presentation on the real meaning of Christmas.

We ended the evening wandering back through the lights of Sloane Square and drank coffee in the very cool Saatchi Museum cafe/restaurant where we took in some easy, humorous conversation. It was a great opportunity to connect and meet with new people in a quiet and more intimate setting.

Ok, so it wasn’t a swinging 50’s Jive night but it was nonetheless an enjoyable evening with the highlight of the evening being bringing together a fantastic group of people.
